Swap-o-Rama
March 29, 2007
I’ve received even more beautiful squares. It’s hard to appreciate the beauty and intricate detail from these pictures. I really like the raised squares from the swap 76 ladies, especially the ying-yang. Take a look at these:
Bonnie Futreal
Jennifer Jester lookie what else Jennifer sent!
Jenny Northern
Dawn Centner
Janie Polson
Now don’t forget. If you’d like to join a swap, just contact Jeanie W here.
Green with Envy
March 10, 2007
Here is my update for the Green and White swap. Boy are these pretty! I’ve decided to donate this afghan(s). I’m not sure where yet, but I’ll see. I’m thinking about making some baby blankets and donating them to the local hospital. That way they’ll be cherished by several lucky people! If you’d like to join a swap, contact Jeanie W.

Swaps are a wonderful way of meeting new friends as well as using up some of your yarn stash! And just remember, the final result will be a beautiful snuggly blanket made by the loving hands of friends from all over the world Now that is beautiful. If you’d like to join in a swap, please get in touch with Jeanie here.
Swap 77
Cassandra King sent this gorgeous and expertly executed crochet granny square.
And let’s not forget…
Swap 76
Dawn Centner has sent these most appropriate squares. The theme, of course, is St Patrick’s Day. How cool are these?
Virginia Northern crocheted these lovely granny squares. I especially like the one on the right. I don’t know how to do that, but I wish I did.
And last, but NOT least, Linda Kenney sent these granny squares. Don’t you love the raised flower? And what about the detail in the second square? Awesome.
STUFF
January 21, 2007

On the bus I smile proudly as I watch Betty peeking around. I look around to make eye contact with other passengers, ready to give that “Isn’t she cute?” look often exchanged between women. She has a crusty nose, but I’m still ready.
Last week I received FOUR awesome granny squares from a swap I’m doing. Jeanie W sent these

and Carol Ortega sent these. Aren’t they all so beautiful?

I’ve finally taken pictures of our new car.

Here’s the inside, and again, a close up of the leather seats, the front and a side view. It was kinda dark when I took them, so sorry they’re so yucky. These pictures are primarily for my Dad, so don’t feel obligated to look at these. I will say, however, that when Graeme brought this car home, I honestly felt like I wasn’t old enough/mature enough/cool enough to have a car like this. I’m much more a vintage Beetle or even VW Bus type girl. But I still love the heated seats!
Oh, and before I go. Please add “Butt-for-Brains” to Jackson’s never-ending list of cool-things-to-say-at-nursery-to-completely-embarrass-your-mother sayings. ALL THANKS TO HIS DAD, of course.
